5B don't forget - you need to bring in a small-medium size jar for next Friday, May 31st to make crystals. If you don't have a jar, you unfortunately will not be able to participate in this. The jar does not have to be glass nor have a cover.

Today in class, we worked on creating a comic strip about a natural disaster. It could be based on a real event that occurred, or another natural disaster that your imagination came up with (but it has to be a real natural disaster). This is due on Monday, March 4th.
We have started our first unit in science for term 2 (5B), which is weather! Today and all of next week, we will be working on our final research project for science - natural disasters. I've attached the documents needed to help you succeed with this project.
What better way to learn about what NOT to do with electricity than have the students act these scenarios out? Today, the students were given a safety hazard scenario, in groups of 2-3 and they are creating a little skit to emphasize what NOT to do with electricity and explain why this is so dangerous. This is a quick exercise which they will present in class tomorrow.
