Since finishing our history project, we have moved on to persuasive texts! We are taking this one step at a time in order for our speeches to be as powerful as possible. Last week, we just brainstormed ideas and wrote down ideas. Today, we have started learning about the layout of a speech and learned how to write an effective introduction. We are filling out graphic organizers and putting ideas and points on paper. Later on this week or next week, we will put our rough draft of our speeches together in one cohesive speech. Then learn about the editing process, and finally have a perfected, persuasive speech! Below are some resources to help guide you! https://www.wikihow.com/Write-an-Introduction-for-a-Persuasive-Speech https://www.thoughtco.com/how-to-write-a-persuasive-speech-1857488 https://www.slideshare.net/jmillspaugh/writing-your-introduction-transitions-and-conclusion?next_slideshow=1
