General: Just a quick note to let parents know that Mrs. Popic is back in the classroom. If you have any questions from the profile information booklets that were sent home by Mme. Valji during parent teacher or you would like to set up a phone interview to speak with me yourself, please do not hesitate to send me an email and we can set up a time to chat about your child's progress. Work is still expected to be completed and handed back in - many students had incomplete or missing assignments before March break, which were outlined in the student profiles.
- Science: We are finishing up the electricity unit in science (we will be doing an assessment in the coming days so I can see everyone's understanding). After electricity, we will be starting chemistry. As always - please hand in all assignments and keep them in their duo-tangs so that when I come to grade them, they are already there. - Humanities: I will be grading their mapping assignments they completed and we have just started their mini-Canadian museum research projects, which we will be completing over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for expectations and sheets in the humanities section. As always - please hand in all assignments and keep them in their duo-tangs so that when I come to grade them, they are already there. - Math: We completed our division test a week or more ago and have started the measurement unit. We will be implementing many of the multiplication and division strategies learned throughout those units within this unit. If your child is having a hard time with these concepts, please let me know and we can set up some lunch times to go over these in class for one-on-one support and I always encourage parents to get involved at home through online support and math games. |
